What size is The Retreat, and will it fit me?
It measures 23" wide and 8" deep at the center, tapering to 5" at the ends. The snaps close around up to a 27" circumference, which fits most necks comfortably.
How do I wear it?
Two ways. Wear it with the curve facing up to target the neck and the base of the skull, or flip it 180° with the curve facing down to cover the upper back and shoulders. Snap the ends closed for hands-free relief.
Can I use it for tension headaches?
Yes. Wear it curve-up so it rests on the back of your neck and the base of your skull, where tension headaches often start. Use cold for a soothing chill or heat to relax tight muscles.
How do I heat it?
In the microwave: start with the pack at room temperature (never frozen) and out of its bag. Fold it in half, nylon side out, and heat it for 60 seconds. Massage the gel toward the edges, fold it plush side out, and heat it for 60 seconds more. In hot water: bring water to a boil, remove it from the heat and submerge the pack for 8–10 minutes, then dry it off. The snaps are microwave-safe.
How long should I freeze it?
Freeze it for at least 2 hours before cold therapy, and store it in its zipper freezer bag between uses.
How long can I use it at a time?
Up to 20 minutes per session. Wait 2 hours between cold sessions and 30 minutes between heat sessions, or follow your healthcare provider’s advice.
Which side goes against my skin?
The plush side can rest directly on skin. When using the nylon side for a more intense chill, place a thin towel or cloth between the pack and your skin.
Is it reusable?
Yes. It’s made for repeated use and comes with a lifetime product guarantee on website purchases.
